Nice Buns Hun

Happy Sunday funday everyone! Today, I met up with a great friend and fellow foodie for brunch and, let me tell you, Ann Sather restaurant DID NOT disappoint! I have heard rave reviews about their famous cinnamon rolls since I have moved to the city and have, for whatever ungodly reason, never tried them until now.

Wow, these buns were something else. They come as a SIDE DISH, both of them, both the size of my face, not kidding and they were amazing! The restaurant has a small classic diner feel which I absolutely love.

I started with a simple cup of coffee, a little cream and one sugar, and awaited my cinnamon-y delight. Finally, they arrived, they were everything I dreamed of. Warm and soft on the inside, a little bit of candied cinnamon crunch within the layers and on top and smothered in an amazing, ooey-gooey icing.

Next came my meal. I ordered an omelette with bacon, spinach, green peppers, tomatoes and pepper jack cheese with a side of homemade hash browns. Every bit of it warmed my soul. I felt like I was sitting in my grandmas kitchen, where normally I would have eaten her famous scrambled eggs with ketchup (odd, I know but it was good I swear) and I never wanted to leave.

I can’t wait to get back to this restaurant and gobble up the rest of the menu! It was the perfect way to start a snowy Sunday!

What are your favorite brunch spots? How do you like to spend a snowy Sunday funday?
