On the Needles (Ribbed Mauve Hat)

As the snow and freezing weather roll in here in Chicago, I plan on spending the weekend buried beneath piles of warm knits! I’ve had this chunky, super soft, mauve colored yarn for a few weeks now and haven’t had a plan for it, well, now it’s becoming a hat! The color is beautiful and it’s intertwined with small black and cream colored fragments of yarn which add some character so I decided to go with a more simple patter for the hat itself.

I’m knitting in the round, 46 stitches, on 8mm double pointed needles, a knit one purl one pattern.

Can’t wait to get this on my head! Let me know what you think! What are you up to this weekend?! How are you keeping warm?!
