Chunky Cable Knit Blanket

Chunky-2

As fall has finally arrived, chunky, cozy knits have become top priority on my to do lists. One thing I have always wanted is a giant, warm and squishy cable knit blanket, so I decided to begin this knit season with just that.

I used “The Wool” in the color Natural and size 15mm needles by We Are Knitters, and a pattern of my own design. I love working with this yarn. It’s soft and durable and knits up so quick.

This blanket includes two types of cables, a cabled twist and a cabled braid, and a combination of knits and purls. If you have never worked with cables before, or have never used them in a large project, I think this is a great one to start with.
